Introduction

The damage caused by corrosion becomes an increasing concern among all the Armed Forces Worldwide as their fleet of military vehicles and support equipment ages. Longer time in depots for maintenance and repair, which leads to a decrease in combat readiness will result in poor operational readiness.

During situations of threat, defenses forces are expected to move into position fast. Speed and numbers are crucial. When lines of communication turn volatile, will your fleet of military vehicles move off smooth and awesome as they should?

Vappro Preservation System (VPS) ensures the operational and combat readiness of your preserved military tanks and vehicles.

Magna International has successfully preserved and mobilized military vehicles, aircraft spares, weapons and its systems, optical and electronics equipment in Asia Pacific region.

Vappro Preservation
Management Program

Magna International provides a comprehensive VAPPRO Preservation Management Program by using a series of VAPPRO Products and successfully preserved the military equipment for more than 10 years.

The VAPPRO Preservation Management Life Cycle consists of three methodical and detailed stages.

Beginning with Zero Point Maintenance, the storage vehicle will be thoroughly serviced with a change of engine oil, oil filter element, air filter, etc. Next, the vehicle will be prepared for preservation by general cleaning, lubrication of moving parts and treatment of existing corrosion procedures. All these will be achieved by using VAPPRO 800 VCI Degreaser, VAPPRO 869 VCI Grease and VAPPRO MAGTAN/VCI Rust Converter.

During the VAPPRO Preservation Procedure proper, the entire vehicle will be treated. These include the engine, transmission/gear boxes, cooling system, fuel system, steering system, electrical / electronic system, etc.

Once preservation is complete, the entire vehicle will be securely sealed. At the mobilization 2-years point, the VAPPRO Guard Cover and all VAPPRO Security Labels will be removed. Once deprocessing is completed, the vehicle is operational again. The said program can be repeated for 3 cycles.

The VAPPRO Preservation Program is a cost-effective solution that's adaptable to multiple vehicles and equipment. It is one of the top programs that have successfully preserved equipment from corrosion and fungus over cycles of two years.

Importance of Equipment
Preservation

The importance of operational readiness cannot be over-emphasized. However, within a large army, it is not viable to have all equipment operational all of the time. Normally 30% of equipment are active while 70% are preserved. It is how fast these 70% are deployed that is crucial. Our preservation techniques used are applicable regardless of the type of equipment, the number of units and the condition of your equipment.

The bottom line remains: if your equipment is not well-preserved, it will not work. With Vappro, your equipment is reliable, with a quick response time.
