I. Boiler Water Treatment Product Series
VAPPRO 5580 Corrosion and Scale
Prevention for Boiler
VAPPRO 5580 is a blend of polyphospates and hydrazine, it also contains polyelectrolytes.
VAPPRO 5580 will stabilize the hardness salts present in the feed water, it will hydrolyse in the boiler to form orthophosphates, and then combine with the calcium and magnesium compounds in the water to form insoluble calcium phosphate. This formation will not adhere to the pipewall and can be blown down as sludge. The polyelectrolytes will protect the boiler against corrosion due to chlorides, carbon dioxide and oxygen.
VAPPRO 5581 Oxygen Scavenger
VAPPRO 5581, is a catalysed liquid hydrazine oxygen scavenger for condensate, feed water, boiler and steam line corrosion protection. As an additional benefit it will neutralize the acid effects due to dissolved carbon dioxide in the condensate system. VAPPRO 5581 is often used in conjunction with other VAPPRO Water Treatment Chemicals.
VAPPRO 5581 minimizes oxygen corrosion and prevents formation of red iron oxide on interior surfaces. Oxygen control can be used for all boiler systems, from low to high pressures and in conjunction with mechanical deaeration systems. The treatment combines with dissolved oxygen to form water and inert nitrogen gas, so effectively removing O2 from the water. No solid materials are produced, so there is no contribution to the increase in total dissolved solids – a critical factor in high pressure boilers. The removal of dissolved oxygen is vital in preventing oxygen pitting and corrosion.
VAPPRO 5583 Boiler Cleaning and
Boiler Water Treatment Chemical
VAPPRO 5583 is formulated for the cleaning of boiler and treating of boiler-water.
The main constituents of boiler-scales are the oxides and salts of Fe, Cu, Ca, Mg, Co and Ni. These compounds originate from:
• Corrosion of metallic parts of the boiler
• Condensate
• Residual hardness of the boiler-feed water
Cleaning processes for scaled boilers are based on treatment with sequestering agent, Ethylenediaminetatra Acetic Acid. This agent forms stable, water-soluble complexes with all metal ions normally present in boiler-scales (Fe, Cu, Ca, Mg, Co and Ni). Since dissolution of Fe3O4 is rate determining in the cleaning process, VAPPRO 5583 is the preferred sequestering agent, since it effectively dissolves iron oxides.
| VAPPRO 5584 Synergistic Neutralizing Amines and Corrosion Inhibitor for Control of Condensate pH
CO2 gas reacts with the condensate to form carbonic acid. Without chemical treatment, this acid reduces the pH of the condensate. The pH can be controlled within a specified non-corrosive range by the continuous dosage of a neutralizing amine, such as VAPPRO 5584.
VAPPRO 5584 is a blend of synergistic neutralizing amines designed to control corrosion in condensate systems by providing correction of pH levels in the condensate throughout the system.
VAPPRO 5586 Oxygen Scavenger,
Corrosion and Scale Inhibitor
VAPPRO 5586 is a highly effective phosphate based boiler compound and multifunctional liquid type chemical for boiler water treatment of food industries or hospitals where safety procedure are required regarding application.
An unique blending technology of selected boiler compound ingredients, oxygen scavenger, scale inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors and sludge dispersants provide multifunctional properties within a single liquid product. Ensures reliable effects against corrosion, scaling and sludge accumulation problems.
VAPPRO 5590 Evaporator Treatment
VAPPRO 5590 is used to prevent scale deposition and foaming in high and low evaporators.
VAPPRO 5590 is a liquid combination of synthetic polymers with a highly effective anti-foam agent and sequestering agents. It contains no phosphates.
VAPPRO ALKA TREAT pH or
Alkalinity Adjustment and Sludge Control
VAPPRO ALKA TREAT is based on sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) and sludge dispersant, and is used for increasing the alkalinity of water, for imparting alkalinity to boiler water or neutralizing acid pick-up in open cooling systems whilst providing inhibition of scale formation and improved sludge mobility. |
